Quality Monitoring and Compliance

ISL are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We are committed to continuous improvement and use quality audit frameworks to make sure our services are delivering what people want and need.

We operate a Compliance Module as part of our electronic monitoring software. This system allows us to manage and track our monthly, quarterly and 6 monthly audits in one place and produce integrated action plans to evidence improvements against targets, standards and the Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE) for CQC registered services.

Checkmates

This year as part of our One ISL strategy some clients became colleagues. The Checkmates are clients who support us in measuring our quality. Each person involved receives training, support and full pay for hours worked.  This supports ISL to continuously improve quality and provides paid employment to people who may have faced barriers to entering work previously.  We also hope this will give vocational experience and employment opportunities beyond ISL for the clients involved.

We regularly collect and encourage the views of people who use our services to help make them better,  Checkmates support us with this. We ensure all our staff receive regular supervision meetings and are supported through annual reviews with their personal development. We train our teams through an induction program using online and face to face training sessions, these are updated in line with national guidance and supported by assessments for staff working on the front line.
