We are now recruiting an experienced Service Manager in Crewe to oversee our supported living services and Crisis Café, helping us continue to deliver high-quality mental health support within the community.


About the Role

Based at our Crewe site, this exciting leadership role will oversee:

  • Two adjacent supported living services
  • An on-site Crisis Café supporting individuals experiencing mental health crisis

Our supported living services provide accommodation in self-contained apartments for adults with a range of complex needs, including mental health conditions.

Our Crisis Café offers a safe, welcoming, and non-clinical environment for people experiencing emotional distress, mental health crisis, or those seeking early support to prevent crisis escalation.

As Service Manager, you will lead teams across both services, ensuring safe, compassionate, and person-centred support is delivered at all times.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Service Management

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate staff teams across the Crewe services
  • Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality supported living and crisis support services
  • Recruit, induct, mentor, and develop staff members
  • Provide guidance, leadership, and day-to-day operational support
  • Manage staffing resources and oversee rota planning

Client Support & Quality Assurance

  • Complete assessments, support plans, and risk assessments
  • Support individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes
  • Manage risks while empowering individuals to maximise their potential
  • Oversee new client move-ins and transitions into services

Crisis Café Management

  • Support the safe and effective running of the Crisis Café
  • Ensure the café remains a welcoming, supportive, and recovery-focused environment
  • Work collaboratively with mental health services and partner agencies
  • Support early intervention and crisis prevention approaches

Partnership Working

  • Liaise internally and externally with healthcare professionals, local authorities, and partner organisations
  • Share best practice and knowledge to improve outcomes for the people we support
  • Act as a key point of contact for enquiries and complaints

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced manager who is passionate about mental health support and community-based care.

Preferred Experience

  • Management experience: 3 years preferred
  • Social care experience: 3 years preferred

Essential Skills & Qualities

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Experience within supported living, mental health, or social care services
  • Ability to manage multiple services effectively
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to person-centred support and safeguarding
  • Flexible approach to working hours and operational needs

As our services operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, flexibility will be required.
