Christmas Day Blog – A Festive Round-Up Across ISL

On the twelfth day of Christmas, ISL celebrated… community, creativity and togetherness.

As Christmas Day arrives, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a truly festive few weeks across ISL. From community events and cosy moments to fundraising successes and festive days out, this season has been filled with warmth, joy and connection.

🎁 Day One – Cross Green
Simon from Cross Green was all smiles as he received a fabulous Christmas hamper from St Hilda’s Church. The hamper was a thank you for Simon’s ongoing commitment to helping out every Wednesday with the Community Unity Charity – a brilliant example of giving back and being part of the local community.

✨ Day Two – Crewe
Our Crewe clients wrapped up warm and headed out to enjoy the Christmas Lights switch-on, soaking up the festive atmosphere and celebrations in the town.

✂️ Day Three – Chester Supported Living
Creativity was flowing as clients and colleagues crafted beautiful handmade Christmas cards. Featuring thoughtful details like a 3D snowman, these cards were a real labour of love.

🧝 Day Four – The IS Elf
The I.S. Elf has been busy travelling far and wide this December! Here are some of his best pictures! Do you recognise the people or locations? A big thank you to all of our colleagues and clients who helped to make Mr Elf’s journey extra special.

🦌 Day Five – Crewecial Baking Group
Festive baking was on the menu as marshmallows, chocolate, pretzels and Smarties were cleverly transformed into reindeer cake pops – almost too good to eat!

🎄 Day Six – Crewe Winter Fayre
A huge well done to our Crewe Services team and clients Ifora and Niamh, who led a fantastic Winter Fayre on the 13th.
Thanks to their hard work, creativity and teamwork, an incredible £450.76 was raised for our charity partner Chance Changing Lives. From brilliant prizes to beautiful hampers and a hugely successful tombola, this event showed exactly what’s possible when people come together for a good cause. Full story here.

🏙️ Day Seven – York
One of our York clients enjoyed a festive walk through the city, taking in the beautifully decorated shops and Christmas charm York is famous for. Festivities continued back at the service, with Cherry Bakewell rice crispy bakes made by clients.

🎳 Day Eight – York Celebrations
York clients came together for their annual Christmas bowling party – a fantastic turnout and plenty of smiles all round.

🍽️ Day Nine – Tranmere Outreach
One of our Tranmere outreach clients was supported to attend a Christmas party meal, enjoying good food and festive company.

🌲 Day Ten – Macclesfield
Client MF enjoyed a wonderfully festive day out at Tatton Park, making the most of the seasonal sights and fresh winter air.

☕ Day Eleven – Alsager
Nothing says Christmas quite like a cosy hot chocolate session. Our Alsager clients enjoyed properly made hot chocolate in a pan, complete with marshmallows – the perfect winter warmer.

🤝 Day Twelve – Head Office Giving Back
We ended the season with our head office team coming together to donate to Silklife Foodbank in Macclesfield. The donations were warmly received, and we’re incredibly proud of how much our small team managed to collect. Full story here. 

Bonus Entry – A Mersey Gardens Christmas!

Colleagues and clients at our Tranmere service had a fantastic 3 course Christmas Dinner complete with Christmas crackers and hats! Thank you to Patrick who created this video to capture the day.

As we celebrate Christmas Day, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has made this season so special – our colleagues, clients, partners, families and wider communities.
