Festive Fundraising Supports Silklife Foodbank

Yesterday, colleagues from our Head Office came together for a Christmas Jumper Day, raising vital donations for Silklife Foodbank in Macclesfield – our valued charity partner in Macclesfield.

The day followed our recent visit to Silklife Foodbank, where we filmed a behind-the-scenes video series highlighting the incredible work of their team and volunteers. Inspired by what we saw, colleagues were keen to get involved and support the foodbank’s ongoing work in the community.

A Generous Team Effort

The response from our team was fantastic. By the end of the day, we had collected a substantial pile of donations, including essential food items, sanitary products and baby items. These donations will go directly towards Silklife’s food bags, sanitary bags and baby bags, which are distributed to individuals and families in need across Macclesfield.

The first images from the day show our head office team proudly standing behind the donations collected, followed by a closer look at the essential items contributed. Festive spirit was also felt beyond head office, with Operations Manager Jemma joining in remotely from Alsager, and even some four-legged friends getting involved – Duke, our Finance Director’s dog, and our Director of Operations dogs Louie and Milo who were pictured in their Christmas jumpers (with a little encouragement from cheese).

Silklife Foodbank plays a crucial role in supporting people across Macclesfield, offering practical help with dignity and compassion. Run entirely on donations and the dedication of volunteers, the foodbank provides tailored support bags to meet a wide range of needs, ensuring help reaches those who need it most.

We hope the donations collected through our Christmas Jumper Day will go a long way in bringing warmth, comfort and support to people during the festive period.
