Independence Support Ltd (ISL) is looking for an experienced and passionate Service Manager to lead our supported living services across Blackpool and Bolton.
This exciting leadership role will oversee:
- An 8-bed supported living service in Blackpool (FY4)
- A 15-bed supported living service in Bolton (BL1)
Our services support adults living in self-contained apartments with a range of complex needs, including mental health conditions. We are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support that empowers individuals to live independently and achieve their goals.
About the Role
As a Service Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our supported living services are safe, effective, and empowering for the people we support.
You will be responsible for leading teams, maintaining service quality, supporting new client move-ins, and driving positive outcomes for vulnerable adults in the community.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager looking to progress their career in mental health supported living and social care leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Service Leadership & Management
- Plan, manage, and coordinate staff teams across both services
- Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality support services
- Manage staffing resources and oversee rota planning
- Recruit, mentor, and induct new team members
- Provide ongoing guidance, supervision, and leadership to staff
Client Support & Quality Assurance
- Complete assessments, support plans, and risk assessments
- Ensure support is person-centred and outcome-focused
- Promote independence, wellbeing, and community inclusion
- Manage risks while enabling clients to maximise their potential
- Oversee move-ins for new clients and support positive transitions
Partnership Working
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, local authorities, and partner agencies
- Share best practice and support positive outcomes for clients
- Respond to enquiries and complaints professionally and effectively
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Operational Responsibilities
- Participate in the on-call rota
- Support a service operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safeguarding standards

- Experience managing within health and social care services
- Knowledge of supported living and mental health support

- Flexible approach to working hours and operational needs
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
Preferred Experience
- Management experience: 1 year preferred
- Social care experience: 3 years preferred
