Full-Time | £35,000 – £40,000 per year
Make a real difference with Independence Support (ISL)
Independence Support (ISL) is looking for an experienced Supported Living Manager to oversee two of our services in Leeds – LS15 and LS9.
Our supported living services provide people with their own self-contained apartments and personalised support, helping individuals to live as independently and confidently as possible within their communities.
The people we support have a range of needs, including complex needs and mental health issues, making this a rewarding opportunity for an experienced manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
As Manager, you will oversee the delivery and ongoing development of both Leeds services, supporting the recruitment and development of staff teams, maintaining high standards of quality and supporting the successful move-in of new clients.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating the work of the teams across both services, ensuring resources are used effectively and that people receive the support they need to achieve positive outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, managing and coordinating teams across the two Leeds services
- Supporting the recruitment and development of staff teams
- Completing assessments, support plans and risk assessments
- Providing advice, guidance and support to staff
- Mentoring and inducting new team members
- Managing and responding to complaints and enquiries
- Identifying and managing risks while supporting individuals to maximise their potential
- Overseeing the ongoing quality of both services
- Supporting the successful move-in of new clients
- Liaising with internal teams and external professionals and agencies
- Working collaboratively to share knowledge and best practice
- Supporting the teams to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we support
- Participating in on-call duties as required
About You
We’re looking for an experienced and committed manager who is passionate about supporting people to live as independently as possible.
You will ideally have:
- Previous management experience, preferably within health or social care
- Experience working within a social care or supported living environment
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- The ability to support, motivate and develop teams
- Good communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of professionals
- A proactive approach to managing risks and resolving challenges
- A genuine commitment to supporting people to maximise their potential
Experience in social care and supporting people with complex needs or mental health needs would be particularly beneficial.
Our Values
Our values guide everything we do:
Positive – We support and encourage everyone to be the best they can be.
Responsive – We listen carefully and act swiftly to meet needs.
Courageous – We face challenges head-on and never shy away from difficult situations.
Inclusive – We embrace diversity and value the unique contributions of every individual.
We believe these values are just as important as experience. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to helping people achieve their goals and live fulfilling, independent lives.
A Rewarding Leadership Opportunity
This is more than a management position. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the quality of two supported living services in Leeds, develop and lead staff teams and help create environments where people can build independence, confidence and skills for the future.
Working Pattern
Both services operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so flexibility is required to meet the needs of the services and the people we support.
The role will cover our LS15 and LS9 services in Leeds, with an expectation to work flexibly across both locations.
