Rapid Response Crisis Worker

Independence Support (ISL) provide in reach support to mental health patients in Accident and Emergency Departments across Cheshire and the The Wirral. We also provide escort support alongside transport services, when patients need to be transferred to different wards/hospital sites and support to staff on acute in patient wards.

The service will provide staff at an assigned A&E department to provide support and supervision to people who are waiting for mental health acute beds.

The working pattern will be 08:00 - 20:00 days or 20:00 - 08:00 nights and 11:00 - 22:00 days worked flexibly over a 7 day rota.

The hospital sites that will be covered are:

- Leighton Hospital, Cheshire

- Macclesfield General Hospital, Cheshire

- Arrow Park Hospital, The Wirral

- Countess of Chester Hospital, Cheshire

 

We are looking for confident and experienced individuals to join our team to provide vital support to the NHS and ensure a positive patient experience.

You will have experience of working in mental health settings and be competent in dealing with potential complex and challenging situations.

Full induction training will be provided.

We will always try to assign staff to the nearest site to them, however in cases of increased capacity you may be required to work across Cheshire or the Wirral. Expenses will be paid from the nearest base to the location of work, however this does not include taxis. Being a driver is therefore essential for this role.

Contracts will initially be for 6 months with the option to extend.

All posts are subject to satisfactory DBS and pre employment checks.
