Supported Living Manager | Burton and Stoke-on-Trent
Independence Support is looking for an experienced Supported Living Manager to join our team, overseeing services in Burton and Stoke-on-Trent.
Our supported living services provide people with their own self-contained apartments and personalised support, helping individuals to live as independently and confidently as possible within their communities.
The people we support have a range of needs, including complex needs and mental health issues, making this a rewarding opportunity for an experienced manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
As Manager, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running and continued development of services across both Burton and Stoke-on-Trent. You’ll lead and support the staff team, help recruit new team members, oversee quality, manage new client move-ins and ensure the people we support receive effective and consistent support.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating the work of the team, ensuring resources are used effectively and that people receive the support they need to achieve positive outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, managing and coordinating a team to deliver effective support
- Supporting the recruitment and development of the staff team
- Completing assessments, support plans and risk assessments
- Providing advice, guidance and support to staff
- Mentoring and inducting new team members
- Managing and responding to complaints and enquiries
- Identifying and managing risks while supporting individuals to maximise their potential
- Overseeing the quality of the service and supporting the successful move-in of new clients
- Liaising with internal teams and external professionals and agencies
- Working collaboratively to share knowledge and best practice
- Supporting the team to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we support
- Participating in on-call duties as required
About You
We’re looking for an experienced and committed manager who is passionate about supporting people to live as independently as possible.
You will ideally have:
- Previous management experience, preferably within health or social care
- Experience working within a social care or supported living environment
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- The ability to support, motivate and develop a team
- Good communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of professionals
- A proactive approach to managing risks and resolving challenges
- A genuine commitment to supporting people to maximise their potential
Experience in social care and supporting people with complex needs or mental health needs would be particularly beneficial.

Working Pattern
Our services operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.
The role is based across Burton and Stoke-on-Trent, with an expectation to work flexibly as required.

- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year

Previous management experience is preferred, alongside experience within social care.
