Kim Tooth
I have over 20 years experience in the health and social care sector, working within nursing care, dementia care and residential care, complex LD, Complex physical disabilities, acquired brain injury units, substance and alcohol use, behaviours that challenge and mental health support. I have gained a lot of valuable experience throughout this time that supports my role as acting manager. I have also taken part in Positive behaviour support training which qualifies me to understand and write Positive behaviour support plans for clients across all services. I have always had a passion for support and have pursued this career since leaving school. I have always pushed myself to improve and have completed online courses in mental health support and understanding adverse childhood experiences, I have completed Olive branch training with Staffordshire fire and rescue this year, giving me the knowledge to identify fire hazards and risks for clients within their own homes and how to refer them for safe and well checks and safety equipment to reduce risks for them. I am working towards my level 5 leadership in adult social care, which I hope to complete in 2025. It has always been my goal to reach management level so that I’m able to use my platform to ensure quality person centred support from all staff and to create a positive, safe and happy environment for all clients within the service. It is a privilege to work here and support some truly inspirational individuals and I look forward to being a part of the growth of the service.
