Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge

Written by: ISL

Members of the ISL Rapid Response Team will be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on March 12th to raise fundsĀ for Live! Cheshire.

The Why?

Live! Cheshire is a small vibrant charity based in Chester, that provides a varied programme of fully inclusive and accessible clubs and social activities for children, young people and adults. We are encouraging our supporters to raise money towards providing fun activities and buying resources for the children, young people and adults at Live! Cheshire.

The How?
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These hills form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Lead by experienced hiker Mark Dutton with the ISL team:
24.5 miles with smiles.
March 12th 07.00-19.00,
Taking in PEN-Y-GHENT, WHERNSIDE & INGLEBOROUGH.
These fabulous folk will be trying to complete the challenge in 12 hours.
