New Burton-on-Trent supported living service opens its doors

Written by: ISL

We’re delighted to announce the opening of our new supported living service in Burton-on-Trent, providing high-quality accommodation and personalised support for people within the local community.

In this video, Morgan, Manager of Stoke and our new Burton-on-Trent service, takes us on a tour of the service ahead of clients moving in, offering a first look at the welcoming environment created for the people we support.

The service is now open, with clients having moved in and settling into their new homes.

Our Burton-on-Trent supported living service provides accommodation for up to seven people, with each person holding their own tenancy in a self-contained apartment. The service has been designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment where people can build confidence, develop skills, and work towards their personal goals and greater independence.

The service primarily supports people with mental health needs, including those who may require support in other areas of their lives. The experienced team bring specialist knowledge in mental health, dual diagnosis and complex needs, working alongside each person to provide the right support at the right time.

By supporting people closer to home, the service helps individuals remain connected to their families, friends and local support networks, while accessing the care and guidance they need within their own community.

The team work closely with multidisciplinary teams and local partners, building strong relationships to achieve positive outcomes for everyone supported.

We’re incredibly proud of Morgan and the team for bringing this new service to life and look forward to seeing the continued progress and achievements of the people who call Burton-on-Trent home.

This new service has been delivered in partnership with Inclusion Housing and Praesidio, combining expertise across organisations to create a high-quality supported living environment that meets the needs of the local community.

We would also like to thank Staffordshire Council Adult Care teams for their collaborative approach and ongoing partnership working, helping to support the successful opening of the service and ensuring people can access the right support closer to home.
