Dave & Sean Complete 75-Mile Charity Walk Raising £4,243

Written by: ISL

We are incredibly proud to share that Dave and Sean have successfully completed their 75.1-mile charity walk in support of the Frank Bruno Foundation, raising an amazing £4,243 including Gift Aid.

The five-day challenge saw the pair walk from Wembley Stadium to Northampton, finishing at the Frank Bruno Foundation after covering an incredible 337,448 steps between them.

The route began at Wembley to honour the historic venue where Frank Bruno won his world heavyweight title in 1995, before culminating in a very special finish as Frank joined Dave and Sean for the final mile.

Battling the Elements

The challenge was made even tougher by unpredictable weather conditions throughout the week. From hail, snow and sleet to strong winds and brief spells of sunshine, the pair experienced all four seasons in one day during Wednesday’s leg of the walk.

Despite the challenging conditions, Dave and Sean pushed on, supported by the generosity and encouragement of people they met along the route.

Several members of the public stopped to speak with them about the challenge, many sharing their admiration for Frank Bruno and the Foundation, with some even making spontaneous cash donations.

A Powerful Finish in Northampton

The walk concluded at the Frank Bruno Foundation, where Dave and Sean were warmly welcomed by the passionate team and volunteers.

They were given a tour of the Foundation and heard powerful stories from people whose lives have been changed by its Round by Round programme, including individuals who originally joined as participants and later stayed on as volunteers because of the positive impact it had on their mental health.

The finish was also covered by ITV News, helping shine a light on the incredible work being done by the Foundation.
