Zoe
Zoe joined our Leeds Pudsey Supported Living service with the goal of developing the confidence, independence, and everyday living skills needed to eventually move on to a step-down service and, in the future, live independently with outreach support.
In her interview, Zoe speaks openly about her experiences with anxiety and the challenges she can face when going out into public spaces. She shares how the ISL team support her during difficult moments by helping her talk through her worries, remain calm, and understand the root of how she is feeling. Through person-centred support and encouragement, Zoe has continued to build confidence and work towards her personal goals at her own pace.
Living with epilepsy can also present challenges when it comes to activities and accessing the community, but Zoe explains how staff always work with her to make activities accessible and enjoyable. Whether adapting plans or finding alternative ways for her to get involved, the team ensure she feels included and supported.
Zoe speaks warmly about her experience at ISL and says she would like to continue her future journey within the organisation because of the support she receives and the strong relationships she has built with staff.
As well as focusing on her own progress, Zoe is a valued and supportive member of the Pudsey service. She is always happy to help with activities around the home and often supports other clients who may be struggling, whether that’s sitting down for a chat, helping staff make brews, or simply being a kind and reassuring presence for others. Her caring nature and willingness to help make a real difference within the service community.
At ISL, we believe supported living is about more than just practical support — it’s about helping people feel heard, valued, included, and empowered to move forward with confidence.
