Monthly Roundup - January 2024

The ISL team across multiple services have started the new year off well in client engagement with a big focus on health & well-being. From nature walks, to cooking classes to well-being through art; it is wonderful to see such a variation of creative thinking and a positive start to 2024. Coach Sean has been working with teams to support with healthy recipes, nutritional advice and exercise motivation over December through to January and staff are utilising these visits and the Coach Sean online library well.

Alsager Supported Living Service: 

Alsager have started the year with healthy recipes and motivation from Coach Sean. Clients have been learning a variety of quick and healthy nutrition options that they can add to their lifestyle.

Blackpool Supported Living Service:

A client at the Blackpool service has been excelling in her artwork. The team are working with her to explore ways of exhibiting and selling her art. Staff at the service have also been encouraging further creativity for clients with weekly arts and crafts sessions.

Crewe Supported Living Service:

The Crewe team have begun a weekly Saturday night cooking group to support clients with healthier nutrition and healthier spending habits. The team are particularly focussed on supporting clients with reducing takeaway consumption with fun, cost effective and nutritious alternatives.

Macclesfield Supported Living Service:

Macclesfield outreach has been exploring nature and well-being with their inspiring walks around Macclesfield Forest. The service has also begun a steps counting challenge to maintain positive momentum in their health and well-being activities.

Leeds Chapel Allerton Supported Living Service: 

The team at Chapel Allerton have re-structured their weekly activities and built a well-being wall to promote the health and well-being strategy and healthier lifestyle choices for their clients. There is a weekly session to support clients with budgeting and money management.

Leeds Gildersome Supported Living Service:

Games nights are in full swing at Hillcrest providing great comradery and healthy competition in the communal space. No own goals here! Hillcrest health & well-being day featuring yoga, healthy recipes and a static bike challenge are upcoming with Coach Sean later in February.

Stoke-on-Trent Supported Living Service:

Staff at the Stoke-on-Trent service have started the year brushing away the 'January Blues,' with nature walks and cooking classes. Coach Sean himself and the Coach Sean online library of recipes have supported staff and clients.

It is so great to see the varying areas of health and wellness support and engagement with the services and clients. Keep an eye out on our blog for other services and February updates.
