Leanne Cartwright

I work for ISL as a First Aid Trainer, providing advice and support to both frontline workers and the wider organisation.

I work across all ISL services providing mandatory Emergency First Aid at work training and offering support and guidance on managing self harm through workshops and mentoring where needed.

I have worked in public services for nearly 20 years now, managing services within Local Authorities and then joining North West Ambulance Service 5 years ago. Alongside my role with the NHS I have worked as a support worker for individuals with complex mental health needs in supported living services.

My skills and insight into the challenges facing frontline services make this training role a perfect fit for me. I have always had a passion for first aid and took on this role from an early age when working as a lifeguard.

I am passionate about making sure staff feel equipped with the right skills and knowledge to support people in the most complex and difficult situations. Through my training I aim to ensure individuals feel confident and able to respond in an emergency, focusing specifically on those working with vulnerable adults.
