Jemma Watson

I work for ISL as acting Operations Manager. I am very excited to be a part of ISL and the new service and my future within the company.

I have over 14 years’ experience working in the health and social care sector, I started in care as a care assistant for elderly people with dementia in a small 20 bed home. I really enjoyed working with older people and I knew that I wanted to work with people in a care setting. I went on to become a qualified mental health nurse in 2012.

Within the health and social care sector, I have gained experience from working as a nurse, a support worker, a senior and a service manager. I am also currently working towards my level 5 in leadership and management in health and social care.

Working in mental health has fuelled my desire to ensure myself and my team at Halton support everyone to achieve their goals and aspirations and to overcome barriers in a safe environment free from judgement. My aim is for myself and my team to show compassion and empathy to individuals struggling with mental health issues, provide support and to treat everyone we work with as an individual.
