I first moved into Blackpool supported living on 12th March 21 after a failed tenancy in the community and had severe substance addiction.

I had been in active addiction for 7 years. I commenced a methadone program and successfully completed it. I commenced a tranquiliser reduction program from street drugs solely under the support from Blackpool supported living staff, this could not be organised from our own local drugs and alcohol services due to how hard it is to complete. Our local GP worked with us and supported with medication. This has now been successfully completed and I have been clean and sober for 6 months and I'm no longer medicated by the GP.

I have now successfully secured a voluntary placement working at a pet parlour with the help from Blackpool supported living staff who are working in partnership with UR potential.
