I have been a service manager for many years now and worked within a variety of settings across the mental health sector from hospital to community based settings; encompassing community based day services, housing, crisis, employment and advocacy services. The main focus throughout my career and my passion has remained within the crisis element, engendering change via bespoke support and intervention to individuals who are struggling with mental health and emotional wellbeing. This can often help to avoid a hospital or inpatient admission.
I believe in continuous improvement and strive to be the best manager I can be. I believe in coaching and mentoring and leading a team on a strength based model and encouraging new innovative ideas from both staff and clients, as individuals we are ever changing and that should remain a core value and ethos in everything we offer within a supporting service.
